In 2026, Women in Exile received the “Berlin-Brandenburgische Bündnis für Mut und Verständigung” award in Potsdam on 11 September. This was in recognition of raising political awareness of the life circumstances of refugee women and actively campaigning against racism and other forms of discrimination. It was also recognition of our long-standing commitment to self-representation and advocacy for the rights of BPoC (Black and People of Colour) individuals.
