The\nfirst three cases from the refugees who have been quaranted in\nDoberlug-Kirchhain\nhave\nnow tested positive. The\nrefugees are now living in fear and scared of their lives because\nthey are aware, there is very little they can do to prevent\nthemselves of\nbeing\ninfected with\nthe covid-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So\nfar, they are supposed to wear masks, each has been presented with\none because they aren`t more in the moment. They are\nstill\nallowed to go into the city, if necessary but only in a group of two\npersons. They have been warned of being fined if the police finds\nthem breaking the social distance law of 1,5m. The\ncamp will not be in\nquarantine as a whole\nunless many refugees in the camp test positive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Organisations\nworking with refugees have been demanding for the closure of lagers\nfor many years and the demands have got intensified since\nthe break of the covid-19. Press releases from different\norganisations in Berlin and Brandenburg and German wide have\nbeen focusing on the\nclosure of the camps and moving the refugees to alternative spaces.\nAfter police invaded the dention camp in Suhl (Th\u00fcringen),\nit was obvious for the refugees no solution could be found. Physical\ndistancing is impossible in the often crowded\nway they are accommodated\nand\nthe sharing of the amenities such as bathrooms, toilets and kitchens\nor dining halls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
